Stream Diamond District’s ‘March On Washington Redux’ LP

Diamond District dropped the full stream of their March On Washington Redux LP today. The 13-track collection from Uptown XO, yU and Oddisee features a reworking of their album, March On Washington (released just a few months ago, and including some of their best marathon music) by such producers as Large Professor, Apollo Brown, and Nottz. The lyrics are kept in tact while tracks like “Working Weekends” (remixed by Large Pro) re-captures the mood of these times, and cuts like “Ain’t Over” smooth out the urgency of the original (this one done with a touch of Black Milk).

Vic Mensa has let loose a Kaytranada-produced track dubbed "Wimme Nah." Over icy synths and thumping percussion, the 21-year-old Chicago rapper takes some time to revel in the current success and support he's earned, as well as do a bit of the boasting and bragging that comes with being a buzzing rapper who is starting to soar up the ranks. From being jobless and not even able to have his own car to "paid vacations," the Savemoney emcee has come a long way, and it'll be interesting to see where his career will end up by the time the year concludes.
