Heartz and Mindz 2015 | WAKA x BLAKATAK Promo
Heartz and Mindz is a break dance and all-style dance fundraiser for the American Heart Association.
This is the second annual dance fundraiser. All profits are being donated to the American Heart Association. This event is dedicated and inspired by Andres Santiago. He pass away from heart disease.
His wife Rachel has created this event in his name to bring more awareness of heart disease to the community, also to inspire and heal others. Last years event was a great success. This year we are hoping to make it bigger and better.
Heartz and Mindz has teamed up with UDEF Probreakingtour and Silverbackbboyevents. Both are nonprofit organizations, set out to help and support the breakdance communities around the world.
There will be exciting exhibitions, 3 vs 3 break dance battle with the grand prize of $1,500.00, 2 vs 2 all-style battle, and a 1 vs 1 popping battle.
We will have awesome local venders and talented artist displaying their art and skill. So mark your calenders February 21st 2015 this will be taking place at Steinmetz college prep 3030 N Mobile Chicago IL 60634 the entrance fee for this dance extravaganza is $10.00. come see out of this world talent as they dance there heart out for a great cause!

He started gaining fame as a bboy in 1991 and later became a member of a well known crew called the BRICKHEADZ. He would perform for such artist and events such as The Roots, KRS One, Immortal Technique, Dougie Fresh, Common, Rhymefest, Cypress Hill, Pharoah Monch, Nas, Diddy, Mariah Carey, Taste of Chicago, Lollapolooza, Looptopia, B96 Summer Bash just to name a few. The BRICKHEADZ also won many breakin' competition nationally and internationally. While Shon Roka was being active as a bboy he was working on his craft of being a DJ.
DJing for w/ Nike, Jordan, Under Armour, Adidas, Vans, Uprise (Chicago) Skateshop for numerous in-stores, sporting events, galleries and corporate outings. Also Shon Roka is a resident DJ post Covid in Chicago at McGee's, Tantrum, Imbibe and Harbee's. While being a DJ, he has been teaching music production and the Art of Skateboarding through Maggie Daley's After School Matters. Also known as Gallery 37.
