Cancelled - Pisces & Aries Birthday Celebration "The Transition"
Due to Corona Virus COVID-19 pandemic we will be postponing all events.
On March 20th, 2020 we throw our 3rd "BeattHeoddZ" event at Collaboraction. The first one we had a gallery showcase from the art of Eddy "Popkorn" Edwards. The second we had a 15 year anniversary of the release of one of the BRICKHEADZ films featuring an all vinyl set from the dj collective the "BIN BANDITS". Now we celebrate and honor all the Pisces and Aries in hip hop because that day, March 20th, 2020 is the cusp (The Transition) from one zodiac sign to the next. Sabrina Saenz and the rest of the team has been working hard to curate and make each event happen with our own funds. This time we try to enjoy this one while reaching out to sponsors and showing them our vision. Come make this one special. Just vibe with great company and enjoy some good hip hop!

Funeral Expense Help for FRANCIS CANO
Through life there is pain and suffering. It's at the borders of pain and suffering that the men are separated from the boys. Over the weekend we lost FRANCIS CANO. Mother of Ernesto "Bboy Evol" Castelo.
The most beautiful strong loving mother anyone can ask for! Diagnosed with the worst disease anyone can can ask for breast cancer and on top of that battled eczema her entire life raising 5 wonderful children. Challenged her whole life living in poverty with one mentally handy cap daughter 3 strong boys and her baby girl. Unfortunately money is not on any of our sides and we are here to ask for anything that can help us cover a funeral that she deserves!
We are sadden that a person like this let alone my/our mother has to suffer so slowly hearing her in so much pain kills us all and we are doing everything we can to make her as comfortable as possible and trying to be as strong as we can be as a family so we are here asking to raise $6000 so we can provide her with what she deserves.
Please find it in the kindness in your heart to donate something a dollar a penny something please we greatly appreciate anything given. I wish it was me rather than her she does not deserve this pain at all she only 55 and having to deal with this is the worse way to go please help us gather.

Bboy Evol Workshop | ABC Dance Academy | Today
BreakWithMagic presets workshop with B-Boy Evol (Brickheadz Crew)
Bboy Evol will be teaching a breakin workshop this Saturday at ABC DANCE ACADEMY in Chicago . This is a fifth workshop out of 12 week "prepare for the battle" summer workshop series.
For those who don’t know, it’s “Evol” like “Knievel.” But you’d be forgiven for thinking that the name was short for “evolution.” After all, this is the dude who went from being an unschooled kid to a self-taught breaking force, and whose style has helped b-boy culture develop in his native Chicago and beyond. “It was October 1998, the beginning of 8th grade,” Evol says, remembering the first time he tried to throw down moves. “I saw some friends trying to break and I was like, ‘I’m down.’ But I didn’t know what was what and neither did they. We taught ourselves for the first year: no videos, no YouTube, no teachers. Pure love for the movement kept me going.”
He's consistently active in bboy battles and performances motivated by his pure love for the breaking culture (IBE 2004 Holland,City vs City Champ 2010, Red Bull BC One NA Qualifier Chicago 2012,2013,2014, Denver 2015)

Hailing from Maryland, Viktor Rasiia is a passionate, charismatic hip hop artist with a unique approach to creating music. V's sound falls nicely between the scales of ratchet and righteous and lyrically he balances these two extremes effortlessly. After spending over a decade perfecting his craft Viktor is poised to take the rap world by storm. In April he dropped "The Viktor Rasiia Show", a mixtape which showcased his versatilty as an emcee.
In July Viktor dropped a two song tribute to Biggie and Pac. Less then three months later Vik is back with "The Legend of Natty Bohnz". An Ep inspired by the golden Age of Hip Hop. He would perform for such artist and events such as The Roots, KRS One, Immortal Technique, Dougie Fresh, Common, Rhymefest, Cypress Hill, Pharoah Monch, Nas, Diddy, Mariah Carey, Taste of Chicago, Lollapolooza, Looptopia, B96 Summer Bash just to name a few. The BRICKHEADZ also won many breakin' competition nationally and internationally. While Shon Roka was being active as a bboy he was working on his craft of being a DJ.
DJing for w/ Nike, Jordan, Under Armour, Adidas, Vans, Uprise (Chicago) Skateshop for numerous in-stores, sporting events, galleries and corporate outings. Also Shon Roka is a resident DJ post Covid in Chicago at McGee's, Tantrum, Imbibe and Harbee's. While being a DJ, he has been teaching music production and the Art of Skateboarding through Maggie Daley's After School Matters. Also known as Gallery 37.
