Jaden and Willow Smith | Interview Broccoli City Festival
Willow and Jaden Smith's performance was definitely one of the afternoon's highlights; considering how rarely they perform, the confidence with which they took the stage was doubly impressive. Throwing themselves around with the kind of artful sloppiness that could only have come from years in Beverly Hills' best movement classes, the Smiths rapped and sang their way through their Soundcloud to an audience of die-hard fans (people even made Willow and Jaden cut-outs). As Jaden said of Willow, "She's only 14. That's crazy." - Billboard

Willow Smith | Heart | New Music
With "Heart," Willow Smith has graced us with two new minutes of heady, celestial meanderings. Over production by Chaotic, the 14 year old floats ideas like, I don't think it's fair that you're on Earth/ And I'm up up here making stars and and galaxies and planets/ Making the life I know the dimensions. Apparently, the song was inspired by the "chaotic" period during which she was for some reason locked out of her SoundCloud profile: "I thought I'd post a little something celebrating the end of the chaotic time whilst I wasn't able to long in this account," she writes in the songs description. The stars, they forget their SoundCloud passwords just like us.

Willow Smith | WOODS
Willow Smith — the 14-year-old daughter of Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, and mystical Mother Earth — has been the recent subject of derision. Alongside her brother, Jaden, she waxed philosophic in an interview for T Magazine about paranormal life energies, illusive properties of time, and how much school sucks. The pair were ridiculed for every line. It’s fun to mock New Age aphorisms and it’s fun to mock teens. Feel-good fuzz told with posturing confidence is an irresistible combination to deflate.
What We Really Talk About When We Talk About Doofy Teens is self-deprecation for our past lives as teens. And this specific type of teen — this wide-eyed junior philosopher excited about lofty mental rubrics for considering the world — is ripe for teasing.
But if Willow is slightly ribbed, she should also be praised. She's confident, ambitious, creatively motivated: Why deride these wonderful qualities? It's kind of fantastic to use a standard publicity interview to talk over sky-scraping ideas about existence. In every conversation, she mentions a new way of thinking: a refreshing substitute for peppery anecdotes or false humility. Willow Smith doesn’t waste your time with a cute confession about insecurities: She wants to talk about truth.

WILLOW SMITH | FEMALE ENERGY | FREESTYLE
Willow has come a long way since “Whip My Hair.” The free-spirited Smith, who turns 14 on Halloween, floats above the clouds on her vibey freestyle “Female Energy,” which borrows lyrics from Jhené Aiko’s “The Pressure.”
“It’s really out of my control / How you feel is not my problem,” coos Willow.
Her EP 3 hits iTunes on November 10 featuring three new tracks, which she debuted last week at the Fader Fort during the CMJ Festival in Brooklyn.

Jaden Smith/Willow | Melancholy
Jaden Smith continues to prove that he’s wise beyond his years. After releasing the tracks “Blue Ocean,” “Trophy,” and “Fast,” the 16-year-old rapper-actor explores the dark side of fame on “Melancholy.”
Over a sample of Pink Floyd’s ’70s classic “Breathe,” Will and Jada’s son mocks his haters with lines like, “You guys are just some rich kids, how dare you call yourselves the MSFTS” and “You messin’ up a classic like how you did with The Karate Kid,” while his sister Willow provides backing vocals (“Run, rabbit run”).
Hear him trip out on the psychedelic song and look out for his mixtape Cool Tape, Vol. 2.

Willow Smith Covers | EASY EASY | King Krule
Willow Smith has been pretty quiet in the music world since 2011′s “Whip My Hair” took the world by storm, but the 13-year-old has spent the past few years refining her taste, from sampling Radiohead to joining up-and-comer SZA on stage. Now, she’s released a cover of King Krule’s “Easy Easy” from his debut album 6 Feet Beneath The Moon and … it’s actually pretty damn good. Listen below and compare it to the original.
