Shon Roka (pronounced Shaun Roca) the DJ also known as Shaun Ortega was born on the west-side of Chicago. He started gaining fame as a bboy in 1991 and later became a member of a well known crew called the BRICKHEADZ. Apresenta Arte 100 Limite 2015
In the days 04 e July 5, 2015 happened ART 100 LIMIT event in Sapopemba, extreme east of Sao Paulo. - SP SP One of the biggest graffiti event with 74 invited graffiti artists of a great quality left with the Emef Rodrigues school de Carvalho stay with a nicer appearance yet and certainly the Back to School students will have a big surprise to see how great the work was done with all the details. The event yielded many visitors to appreciate the works.
In addition to the Paulistas everywhere SP and Santo André came graffiti PR, MG, RJ, BH and also Chile. This was the first 2015 Year of graffiti event, we aim to accomplish more graffiti four events this year, making who has not participated in the first participate in the next event and let your art to our gallery, we have an estimated 80 to 90 artists who participated in the event where we had numerous high quality work.
Large Event artists national scene, from various corners of the country with an unquestionable infrastructure and a very nice reception. We at Graff Films, enjoyed and had the opportunity to record this great moment.
The ART 100 LIMIT graduated with intention to hold events and graffiti workshops in the community where he lives, there was a very positive acceptance from the community and the students themselves and residents, also in respect of understanding the history of graphite, as well as his art, especially on the walls, where more can be seen and prestigious.

Ironlak Strikers | 45RPM
“My morning coffee tends to be looking up some sort of bit of slang from somewhere and drawing it”
Bristol-based Striker slayer 45RPM has developed an (un)healthy obsession with creating impromptu scrawls based around nonsense verbiage informed by cockney rhymes – a type of English slang which originated in the East End of London. Many of the expressions have passed into common language EG: money = bread = bread & honey. It developed as a way of obscuring the meaning of sentences to those who did not understand the slang (often the police).
Travel with us to Bristol to gain a quick insight into part of British culture which from the outside appears insane.

This is the third clip (Wildstyle & murals),The original 21 minute video has more edits than these separate clips, i made like four or five videos and mashed them up together for the original one.
Youtube messed up the HD on the Original 21 minute video. It was playing in 720p HD for seven months, now it's not HD anymore, now it's at 480p, I'm gonna upload those clips separately at 1080p !!! Because the HD situation is fucking bogus! Excuse my language, but i worked on that 21 minute video for a long while, recorded it in 720p hd, rendered it at 720p hd, and uploaded it in 720p hd.
For 7 months no problem at 720p hd. And now it's at 480p?!?!

Ironlak Family at Rehlhatna in Dubai | World’s Longest Graffiti Scroll
In November 2014, as the people of the United Arab Emirates were gearing up to celebrate their 43rd year as a country, the Ironlak Family set off towards the Middle East from their respective corners of the globe. In Dubai the Lak Fam joined over 100 artists from around the world in an ambitious attempt to set a new world record for the “World’s Longest Graffiti Scroll”.
Titled ‘Rehlhatna’, meaning ‘Our Journey’, the main feature of the event was a ridiculously long canvas on Jumeirah Beach which was stretched into the shape of the country. The artists were asked to create work which reflected the past, present and future achievements of the UAE.
On the final day, an official judge from Guinness World Records measured out the scroll at 2245.4 metres and declared the new world record set.
Big ups to TUESY for making this happen for us. Huge thanks go to Sameh, Eddy and the rest of the crew for executing on this crazy vision and the Crown Prince of Dubai for making it a reality.
Greetings to all of the artists who we had the privilege of sharing the canvas with. It was an honour to meet you all we hope meet again some day, somewhere.

Over the course of five days, JURNE caught up with Selina Miles to explore the neighbourhoods, train tracks and underground tunnels found in Oakland, California.

NYC Box Truck: Manhattan w/ Micah
The "city that never sleeps" is comprised of five boroughs. However, you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone that doesn't categorize Manhattan as the quintessential mainland— no matter what partialness to the others. The 13-mile stretch (length) is filled with more history, relics, and stories than most can imagine. The magic of the most hustle and bustle lays here.
Harlemite and native New Yorker Micah, of über-successful local lifestyle brand Only NY, knows this probably better than anyone. He cites the city's unlimited sights, sounds, and pulses as the unlimited source of inspiration for his art. Well, that and his fondness for the tranquility of nature— the complete opposite of the urban jungle. This limbo or understanding of balance, if you will, is what best describes his art's flow, a parallel to the city's momentum and pace.

Frankie Knuckles | Logan Square Mural Tribute
This graffiti mural honors Chicago music legend Frankie Knuckles. The Rooftop wall at Fullerton and California Ave. in Logan Square Chicago can be seen easily seen from the Blue Line, midway between the California and Logan Square stops.

From the moment he heard that iconic DJ Frankie Knuckles had died, the local DJ and graffiti artist known as Mike Tupak began planning a mural to honor the musical legend. Public art seemed the best way to honor Knuckles while educating those that may not have known what the man meant to many here. “I didn’t personally know Frankie, but a lot of my friends did and they were hurting,” Tupak said. “I just knew (a mural) had to be done. I reached out to other artists and said, ‘We gotta do it.’ ” Growing up in Chicago in the 1980s, house music unified young people from all over the city and got them grooving to the same beat, said graffiti artist known as BboyB. He was referred to as the “godfather of house.” When Knuckles, 59, died of complications from diabetes in April, it was like losing a close friend for many fans. For weeks, a group of seven graffiti artists scouted locations, collaborated on a design and coordinated a time to create a mural. They wanted a space that would get a lot of eyes, but also had enough room to create a big display. BboyB, Tupak and other mural artists such as Skol, Mugs, Statik, Des and Flash came together because they all were fans of Knuckles, BboyB said. Because the men are artists in what is still considered a controversial art form, they all go by pseudonyms. The idea for the wall came from Tupak. BboyB found the space to paint it and Flash organized the work. The men first covered the wall blue, then they painted together to get the colorful mural finished. They unveiled their wall in Logan Square earlier this week. It is located on the rooftop of X-It European Clothing Co. in the 2900 block of West Fullerton Avenue, facing the CTA Blue Line tracks. “People ride that train line everyday,” Tupak said. “They come into O’Hare and they take the Blue Line downtown. Now the first thing they will see is Frankie Knuckles. It will hit them that we care.” The mural shows an image of Knuckles with a glowing vinyl record behind him as a halo. The paint on the mural is bright and colorful, a nod to Knuckles’ happy and uplifting disposition, BboyB said. In the portrait, Knuckles is smiling because in life he always wore a grin. “We didn’t want it to be a ‘Rest In Peace’ wall,” he said. “Those seem more gang-related or like someone shot you. We wanted it to show him as loved by Chicago. The only thing that shows he is deceased is we put the year he was born and the year he died.” The artists used nearly 100 cans of spray paint on the mural and paid for the project themselves. They finished the piece after working on it for about three days. They don’t know how long it will stay up. “A lot of young people have stopped by to take pictures,” said Erik Melos, the owner of the clothing store where the mural is located. “I see the viewers from the train checking out the work.
