Cousin Stizz Is the Pride of Boston | Noisey Raps
Cousin Stizz returns to his hood Field's Corner in Boston.
Shon Roka (pronounced Shaun Roca) the DJ also known as Shaun Ortega was born on the west-side of Chicago. He started gaining fame as a bboy in 1991 and later became a member of a well known crew called the BRICKHEADZ. He would perform for such artist and events such as The Roots, KRS One, Immortal Technique, Dougie Fresh, Common, Rhymefest, Cypress Hill, Pharoah Monch, Nas, Diddy, Mariah Carey, Taste of Chicago, Lollapolooza, Looptopia, B96 Summer Bash just to name a few. The BRICKHEADZ also won many breakin' competition nationally and internationally. While Shon Roka was being active as a bboy he was working on his craft of being a DJ.
DJing for w/ Nike, Jordan, Under Armour, Adidas, Vans, Uprise (Chicago) Skateshop for numerous in-stores, sporting events, galleries and corporate outings. Also Shon Roka is a resident DJ post Covid in Chicago at McGee's, Tantrum, Imbibe and Harbee's. While being a DJ, he has been teaching music production and the Art of Skateboarding through Maggie Daley's After School Matters. Also known as Gallery 37.

Homeboy Sandman | Atlantis | prod. Blu
Homeboy Sandman and Blu hooking up on a track, in any capacity, is a win for hip-hop.
In this case, it’s Boy Sand on the raps, while Blu handles the production. Coming off of the release of his collabo EP with Paul White, White Sands, Homeboy Sandman is now gearing up to release a full-length album in the fall. Title, producers, and track list TBD, but Boy Sand apparently has been working on a few dozen tracks this year, and this joint with Blu, “Atlantis,” is one of them – and the best of the batch you’ll hear on that LP.
Take a trip under the sea with Sandman, below, and take a trip to the livest venue in your city to see the man live on tour, this spring (dates below).What do you think?

School of Hard Rocks 3 Recap | #BHZLife BLOG
Last night, we went out to support the familia once again. It was a good turn out w/ DJs Lester Burn Em and Illanoiz starting the evening off with a ill selection of breaks while AMS | King of the Nerds got his hosting on. Your judging line up was Legendary Born | Rivers Crew | Korea, Lego | Flipside Kings | Miami and Wicked | Phaze II | Chicago. Some of our heavy hitters in BRICKHEADZ, didn't get to show up to the event. So Evol and Kes teamed up with Chicago Tribe's Torsion and Meta to form BRICKTRIBE. Being that the competition was a 5 man event, they battle and won with 4. Definitely a good "W" for both of us.
