Mad Decent x Thump x Serato | Peyote Pizza Braykz

Peyote Pizza Braykz is a salute to the classic battle records of the '90s, refashioned with that unmistakable Mad Decent sound.

Paul Devro, Mad Decent's DJ and creative director, built 5 scratch battle tracks by going through the label's archives with a fine tooth comb and plucking out his favorite bits. The result is a collage of jersey club, dancehall, EDM and hip hop breaks scattered with weird and wonderful vocals of Riff Raff, Blaqstarr and Nicky da B. It's party music, primarily, and a celebration of classic scratch records, pizza and Mad Decent.

Stay tuned to see the vinyl in action.

Available 10th December from the Serato Online store (RRP USD49): http://sera.to/-b5h9

SUB.Culture | Jersey Club Documentary | Part 2

In Part Two of our three-part SUB.Culture series on the Jersey Club scene, we look at the influence of the genre's leading second generation producers.

We look at the music of DJ Jayhood, the self-proclaimed king of booty bounce music, a sparse yet catchy form of Jersey Club further popularized by artists like Mike Gip and Kayy Drizz. From DJ Lil Man, we learn the indisputable importance of dance to Jersey Club culture.

We also take a look at the impact of scene's breakout stars, Nadus and DJ Sliink, from their incorporation of other genres to create their own breed of Jersey Club to opening the doors for other producers to be seen and heard by a worldwide audience.

These artists have inspired a third and now fourth generation of Jersey Club producers--and due to the genre's current popularity, not all hail from New Jersey.

Mighty Mark | Mighty EP

Mighty Mark ft. TT The Artist and Sushi Samson - "Ping Pong" (Official Video)

As a proud Cherry Hill-native and inventive Baltimore club music producer and DJ, Mighty Mark bridges the gap between the intensity of old school Baltimore club music and the futuristic style of the new school. "Mighty" is his first EP but this young producer isn't a newcomer as he used to be known as "Murder Mark". His tracks are supported by DJs like Sinden, Nightwave, Brenmar, Redlight, and L-Vis 1990 to name a few and are featured at Vice/Noisey, Earmilk, Do Androids Dance and countless music sites. After remixing Big Dope P's "Bird Flu" and appearing on #DMP6 with Feadz, MikeQ, Dj Earl Teklife, Ezekiel and more, Mark presents his first official 5 tracks EP featuring collaborations with TT The Artist, Sushi Samson, Mike-Mike ZOME, Young H.I.D., DJ K-Spin, Colada and Rachel G.
