On Sunday, October 12, 2014, from 12-6pm, hundreds of cars will grace the Navy Pier, causing one heck of a windstorm. The hottest cars and kicks from in and around the Chicago area will be on display, truly bringing you the “Best of the best”. You can expect to see some of the most influential people within the scene present, as well as the likes of official NUROTAG hostess and fitness Mega Model, Nicole Mejia, a special guest DJ and a display of some of the freshest kicks around for the #SHOWUSYOURKICKS showcase. Also, the NUROTAG team will be hosting an official “Models Lounge”, where you can catch some of your favorite models signing photographs, as well as taking pictures with fans.
NUROTAG prides itself on bringing you more than just a car show, but a show that also incorporates aspects of the lifestyle that surrounds the scene. Those things being the hottest fashions, Art, and games. With that being said, for the Chicago edition of NUROTAG, there will be a graffiti artist expo, underground apparel and a full video game experience.
It’s time to get those kicks out the vault and time to get your cars washed, polished and waxed because we’re coming for you, Chicago!! Be prepared to witness it all at NUROTAG
Nurotag will be held at Navy Pier in Festival Hall A.
Roll In is from 7 AM to 11 AM.
Show Hours are from Noon-6 PM.

AWAR ft. Troy Ave | Cadillac Grills
“Cadillac Grills” is the lead single from AWAR & Vanderslice’s upcoming album, “The Winning Team” and features New Yorkers AWAR & Summer Jammer Troy Ave on the mic, with Vanderslice & Green Steez production. The project is coming July 8th and also includes guest appearances Freddie Gibbs, Roc Marciano, Bj the Chicago Kid, King Los, Latoiya Williams, Has-Lo and Giant Gorilla Dog Thing. While AWAR and Vanderslice have worked extensively in the past, “The Winning Team” the first full-length effort from the emcee and producer combination. The album is coming soon…ride with the team that’s winning this year.

Shon Roka (pronounced Shaun Roca) the DJ also known as Shaun Ortega was born on the west-side of Chicago. He started gaining fame as a bboy in 1991 and later became a member of a well known crew called the BRICKHEADZ. He would perform for such artist and events such as The Roots, KRS One, Immortal Technique, Dougie Fresh, Common, Rhymefest, Cypress Hill, Pharoah Monch, Nas, Diddy, Mariah Carey, Taste of Chicago, Lollapolooza, Looptopia, B96 Summer Bash just to name a few. The BRICKHEADZ also won many breakin' competition nationally and internationally. While Shon Roka was being active as a bboy he was working on his craft of being a DJ.
DJing for w/ Nike, Jordan, Under Armour, Adidas, Vans, Uprise (Chicago) Skateshop for numerous in-stores, sporting events, galleries and corporate outings. Also Shon Roka is a resident DJ post Covid in Chicago at McGee's, Tantrum, Imbibe and Harbee's. While being a DJ, he has been teaching music production and the Art of Skateboarding through Maggie Daley's After School Matters. Also known as Gallery 37.
