Young Chicago-based rapper Lil Herb has been making his collaborative rounds in 2014, from his feature in Nicki Minaj’s “Chi-Raq” to the “Fight or Flight” remix he did with fellow Chicagoans Chance The Rapper and Common. Today we hear “Knucklehead,” an outspoken collaboration about being a bold juvenile, featuring Lil Herb and Earl Sweatshirt. The repeated phrase “diaries of a knucklehead” is interspersed between several recounted memories by Lil Herb and Earl and layered over Earl’s seamless production, which directs attention to their poignant raps.
