Shon Roka (pronounced Shaun Roca) the DJ also known as Shaun Ortega was born on the west-side of Chicago. He started gaining fame as a bboy in 1991 and later became a member of a well known crew called the BRICKHEADZ. He would perform for such artist and events such as The Roots, KRS One, Immortal Technique, Dougie Fresh, Common, Rhymefest, Cypress Hill, Pharoah Monch, Nas, Diddy, Mariah Carey, Taste of Chicago, Lollapolooza, Looptopia, B96 Summer Bash just to name a few. The BRICKHEADZ also won many breakin' competition nationally and internationally. While Shon Roka was being active as a bboy he was working on his craft of being a DJ.
DJing for w/ Nike, Jordan, Under Armour, Adidas, Vans, Uprise (Chicago) Skateshop for numerous in-stores, sporting events, galleries and corporate outings. Also Shon Roka is a resident DJ post Covid in Chicago at McGee's, Tantrum, Imbibe and Harbee's. While being a DJ, he has been teaching music production and the Art of Skateboarding through Maggie Daley's After School Matters. Also known as Gallery 37.

Eminem's Shady Films Presents: Road to Total Slaughter Ep. 1 of 4: (UNCENSORED)
In Episode 1, eight of the world's best battle rappers check into the "House of Slaughter", along with team mentors Loaded Lux and Murda Mook. It's all fun and games from the outside, but tension rises as the hours tick closer to the first battles of the tournament. Tournament judges Slaughterhouse show up to greet contestants at the house, but when Murda Mook comes in with a surprise wild card entry, it becomes clear that no one is safe in the House of Slaughter. Episode 2 premieres on Fuse Wednesday June 25th at 12am ET|11pm CT| 9pm PT.

Maison Kitsune x Pernod Absinthe | Is Leaving | Episode 1 | Reykjavik
In collaboration with frwrd.tv and in partnership with Pernod Absinthe, Maison Kitsuné has created a new series which celebrates and inspires curious and open-minded people in search of new means of expression. For this campaign, Pernod Absinthe decided to launch the first entertainment bottle supporting Kitsuné's upcoming series of short music documentaries, produced in collaboration with the *Capitales Inconnues* (*Unknown Cities*) program.
In the five-part series, Maison Kitsuné will unveil how they find inspiration watching new horizons, new faces, unknown cities around the world. For the premiere episode, which makes its debut on Life+Times, they decided to embark UK band Is Tropical into a journey that highlights the movers and shakers of the local creative community of forgotten capitals such as Reykjavik, Djakarta, Accra, Lima, and Amman.
The season starts today, October 15th and will be exclusively presented during the Music College Radio convention in New York City at the Maison Kitsuné store where they will unveil the new design of their second limited edition bottle and first episode of the project.

Kevin Hart's: Say It With Your Chest! -- The Animated Series
Legendary actor / comedian Kevin Hart has immortalized his eccentric family members in his numerous stand-up comedy routines. The Hart family now takes center stage as they, along with a young Kevin Hart, tell the misadventures of Kevin Hart and his friends.
Set in today's world, Kevin Hart narrates via voice over episodes guiding us through Young Kevin's feelings and sensibilities. Episodes begin with Young Kevin being presented with a problem or obstacle, then turning to his eccentric group of family members for help or advice. Young Kevin then decides to either use, or discard the family assistance building an air of mystery as to how an episode will conclude.At times Young Kevin will play a central role in a problem, but his role as a "put-upon" kid will remain.
Characters:
Young Kevin
Hindered by a hormone imbalance that makes him short, but capable of growing a goatee, Young Kevin navigates the treacherous waters of friends, family and childhood as a precocious 8 year old.
Daddy Hart
Married to his La-Z-Boy chair, Daddy Hart is committed to his street proven former drug addict sensibilities. He loves his son, but views the world as the Serengeti and Young Kevin as a lame gazelle.
Uncle Al
A former convict, Uncle Al views the world through a prism of a prisoner. He counsels Young Kevin as though both lived behind bars and his neurotic paranoid filled advice often creates more confusion than solution.
Grandma Hart
Always accompanied by Jesus who is her silent copilot, Grandma Hart wields her advice through scripture and a switchblade. A tenth degree black belt, Grandma Hart is to be feared and respected, even by Jesus.
