This morning we had a legend in the building. Dame Dash. Formerly Jay-Z's manager and business partner at Roc-a-Fella Records, heavy-hitter entrepreneur and fearless businessman.
Before joining us in-studio, Dame Dash told Sway "ask me anything you're curious about." Staying true to his statement, Dash gave a candid and uncensored interview, clarifying rumors, giving insight and even dropping gems.

Joell Ortiz Freestyles | Sway In The Morning
Slaughter House rapper and Fuse TV's Total Slaughter Host, Joell Ortiz brought some of the cast to Sway in the Morning earlier, but the rapper had to prove to the SITM Citizens why he is the host of one of the most competitive battle rap shows, with his own freestyle. #SXSW Vince Staples | Sway In The Morning
Vince Staples holds the west coast down while at SXSW this past week in Austin Texas. The Long Beach rapper explains the segregation of the area and how each direction has different races. Staples is currently traveling with ScHoolBoy Q for the Oxymoron tour, and thinks that Q deserves everything he's getting. Vince isn't swayed by rappers "drug dealing" stories and says "don't send someone else to jail with your music. Before freestyling over B.o.B.'s hit ft. Future "Ready", he shares some of the most valuable advice he has received which was from friend Mac Miller.

We had the 3 finalists of the McDonald's Flavor Battle swing by Sway in the Morning to prove their skills. Niena Drake hopped on our turn-tables, Erika B mixed for us live , next, Cali's DJ R Tistic joined us and woke the Citizens up with his live DJ set.
