Stream Afropunk's Public Unrest Mixtape

Afropunk launched a new monthly mixtape series this week with Public Unrest. This inaugural installment features 45-minute mix of grinding electronica, agitated punk, cathartic soul, and thoughtful interview interludes by Mykki Blanco, Neneh Cherry, Benjamin Booker, and many more. It's apt mood music for the civic strife and protests that draw on; stream it below, it feels good and right.

Wangechi Mutu born in Nairobi, Kenya is an artist and sculptor who lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Mutu is considered by many to be one of the most important contemporary African artists of recent years, and her work has achieved much global acclaim.
