FLYING STEPS | BREAKIN WORKSHOP RECAP | MIXED MOTION ART

Being always active, open minded and supportive in the Chicago Bboy Scene, BHZ Life Blog and other members of the Brickheadz Crew checked out the Flyin Steps Workshop at Mixed Motion Art On Thursday, MARCH 13, 2014 from 6:30 to 8:30 brought to you by Red Bull and Phaze II.

First off the space was huge, there was a good vibe in the room, and the wooden floors were perfect for breaking. It was a nice turn out with various levels of dancers, all interested in learning how to break from some of the best bboys on the planet.

The students got a chance to learn, create, dance, and cypher with Local Veteran Bboy Bravemonk and Internationally known Bboys MIKEL (KC-1) and LIL CENG alway the way from Berlin, plus the workshop was free and open to just about anyone!

In June, The Flying Steps, the Berlin-based four-time world break dance champions, will present their “Red Bull Flying Bach” for six performances at the Civic Opera House, representatives for the tour announced on Tuesday.

Seven international members of The Flying Steps will be joined by Swedish ballerina Anna Holmstrom and classical pianist Christoph Hagel. The show has already toured throughout Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada and Chile.

“Red Bull Flying Bach” plays the Civic Opera House, 20 N. Wacker Dr., from June 20 to June 29,2014.
