Cormega | Rap Basquiat | Prod. By Large Professor
[via Spin]
Revered MC Cormega isn’t one to hold his tongue on or off of wax. Today, he returns on the former format with a very clear message on “Rap Basquiat.”
The brow raising song title is only the tip of the iceberg, as the Queensbridge kicks rhymes from the point of view of a person whose “lifestyle didn’t come from Rap until recently.” Having fully embraced his new hustle, Mega remains very candid while critiquing the Hip-Hop industry.
Backed by production from fellow Queens native Large Professor, the veteran wordsmith teaches a lesson on how to deliver potent lyrics with a crisp, dexterous flow.
Stream Cormega’s “Rap Basquiat” from his upcoming LP, Mega Philosophy, due out July 22 on Slimstyle Records, below. Share your thoughts on the record in the comments.
