Have you heard of Rare Monk? We hyped the Portland-based indie rockers' single, "Splice," back in January. Today we're premiering Rare Monk's cover of Bill Wither's "Ain't No Sunshine." The original tune is a slow, smoky affair, while Rare Monk's cover certainly kicks things up a notch. The band injects a dose of fevered pop intensity into Wither's somber track , resulting in a cover that is equal parts tribute and triumph.
